About Cyndy
People often ask why I am drawn to the Celebrant role. Quite simply, I believe it is important that we mark the beginnings, transitions and losses in our lives. Through Ceremony we can honour those who share our lives and build bonds within our families and across our communities.
My training to enter this profession has involved hundreds of hours of study and research. I have studied the foundations of ceremony structure, explored anthropological and religious perspectives of ceremony design and researched the importance of ritual and symbolism. On pretty much a daily basis and through the wonders of technology, I am fortunate to be able to connect and consult with hundreds of other Life-Cycle Celebrants across North America. |

I am a qualified program manager with 20+ years of experience in the professional services industry, in Canada and internationally. I hold an MBA and am a retired Registered Nurse. The skills I have honed through these professional areas have provided a strong foundation for my Celebrant work. As a Celebrant, I will listen and work with you to create memorable ceremonies that will honour your life events. I comply with the Celebrant Institute & Foundation’s Code of Ethics in all my work with clients.
As Chair of the Celebrant Foundation and Institute's Celebrant Funeral Network, I promote communication and interaction between the Life-Cycle Celebrant alumni who provide end-of-life ceremonies across North America.
