Each client and every Ceremony requires a different combination of my skills and my time.

Your vision and requirements define the scope of my involvement and my work effort.  Your availability defines how we will work together.  A personal meeting is a great way to start, although I have worked with a number of clients who I have not met face-to-face until the day of the ceremony.  We can  ‘meet’ over the phone or over a Zoom webinar session and then exchange ideas by email.
When the day arrives, you will be able to relax and experience the ceremony, knowing that a professional officiant with polished public speaking skills will deliver the ceremony you have approved.
We will  begin with a relaxed no obligation consultation.  We will meet by phone or webinar (Zoom) to discuss your ideas for the ceremony, as well as your needs and preferences.  This meeting is all about you (not me) so I can get a sense of what you envision.  Together we will explore some options and an early outline of the ceremony will emerge.  I am happy to answer any of your questions.  What is important for you to know, before you decide on an Officiant?   It is after this consultation that I will provide a fee estimate with an outline of my services for your ceremony.
You may find this consultation is valuable to help you see a range of possibilities for your ceremony.  I am happy if you have this as a take-away from our meeting, regardless of whether we chose to work together.

We will work together to create your ceremony. Once you choose to proceed, we will share detailed information.  The vast majority of my work occurs behind the scenes as I research, design and write your ceremony based on the information shared with me.  Depending upon the time available, I may conduct personal interviews or will provide questionnaires that will encourage the sharing of ideas.  It is likely we will have some back and forth discussions and/or emails during this time as you come up with ideas and I suggest potential elements such as readings, poetry and rituals. Our collaboration and the results of the research will evolve into a unique ceremony.
You will understand how the ceremony will happen.   Your ceremony is exactly that, your ceremony.  You can relax knowing how the ceremony will unfold and fully experience it as it comes alive.
Ceremony checklists and reviews Ceremonies often involve many participants.  Speakers need to know when they will speak and musicians need to know when to play.  To get the best shots, photographers need to know what will happen and when, and venue management will need to understand the timing of the proceedings.  I will review ceremony elements with ceremony participants.
Perform the Ceremony  I will Officiate the ceremony as approved, ensuring every nuance aligns with your vision. For weddings, legal documentation will be completed as required and filed with the Province of Ontario.
Fees  My fees vary for each ceremony as my work is responsive to your priorities and preferences.  The investment for an original, handcrafted ceremony, including Officiant services, tends to begin at $750.  I consider ceremony elements such as the complexity of the ceremony, the research that will be required and other details we can discuss.  I will be able to provide a quote with an outline of my services, after the initial no-obligation consultation.  A signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer are required to hold your ceremony date and time.
